What Speaks To Me

What Speaks To Me

I hadn't made a collage in along time.  My last one was for vision. This one, is for whatever speaks to me. I picked images where color caught my eye. An image maybe tells a story or I need to remember the image for later. So I sat with my pile of scraps. I let the images stir something inside of me or decided to let them go.

One of the books I opened was a Boy Scout manual that was published way before I was born, it read,

"God has given you a wonderful body and a thinking brain. He has given artists the gift of painting so that they can inspire their fellow men. He has given writers the power of words so that they can form word pictures of beauty and can lead others to beauty. Composers can stir other people with their music, statesmen can work in the service of their country.

The way to thank God for the abilities He has given you is to develop these abilities to the fullest and make the best possible use of them."

So again, I sit with the paragraphs. But it did not take long to decide on it.  I knew it was confirming what I already knew. So I cut it out and pasted it.
